Where it all Began
Ad Marem - Tagua Jewelry

Our Work

Designed to promote environmental conservation, Ad Marem infuses style with sustainability and social responsibility. Our comprehensive approach to ethical fashion provides numerous benefits to both people and planet.
Natural Resource Preservation: Our jewelry is created from tagua, an ivory-colored seed. Tagua grows on palm-like trees, and the seeds are collected once they fall to the ground. Causing minimal disruption to the rainforest ecosystem, tagua harvesting provides a sustainable alternative to the poaching of elephants for their ivory tusks and to certain environmentally-destructive mining practices, which have traditionally been used throughout the jewelry industry.
Empowerment: Collaborating with partners in South America, Ad Marem has established sustainable supply chains that empower local community members to build skills, earn income, and support families.
Environmental Restoration: We donate 5% of our revenue to support ocean clean-up initiatives. Consistent with our name (“Ad Marem” means “to the sea”), our impact begins in the rainforest and ends at the ocean.
